We assisted a victim who had been burgled by workmen who had previously visited his property.  A large sum of cash was stolen and the victim was assaulted during the burglary which took place at night in his own home.  The Bobby Scheme advisor secured the property and through conversation with the victim, discovered an unrelated crime in which large sums of money were being withdrawn periodically from the victim’s account by a third party who the victim trusted with his bank card.  A further crime was raised with police due to controlling and coercive nature of this relationship so protection could be put in place for this vulnerable individual.
